HB12-1079 - CDPS Peace Officer Designations

Concerning Designation Of Certain Positions In The Department Of Public Safety.

The bill designates the deputy executive director of the department of public safety and the director of the division of criminal justice in the department of public safety as peace officers who may be certified by the peace officer standards and training board. The bill specifically gives the executive director of the department of public safety the authority to appoint a deputy department director.
